In some places the law may insist on "mandatory reporting" whereby if you confess to illegal activity in regards to porn to a professional minister or even a lay minister or someone deemed to be in a position of authority in the church or even other organisations or counselors they may be under a legal obligation to report you to the law.

I think you can join an accountability group without having to go into details about the nature of the porn you look at and it can still be just as effective.
