Some of what are called "psychic powers" have been demonstrated by the Saints. (I'm thinking in particular of Saint John of Shnghai and San Francisco.) But, these "powers" are God-given. The only way to gain these is through prayer. Then, if the Holy Trinity decides "yes" yoiu'll get them and not develop them on your own. I would be wary of any such "power" not directly from God.
