That's a very strong defense for the betrayal of trust by mental health professionals.

It's also a very strong argument for making the case that such relationships are not inherently harmful. Only if the mental health community understands that such relationships are not always as detrimental as society would have us believe are they freed from the false choice between betraying patient-doctor privilege and betraying a child.
