We are all different and have different desires coupled with different needs and a different amount of self control. While it may be fine for some of us to have friendships with boys, others may not be ready for that.

However, just because you are not ready now does not mean you will never be ready. You can change who you are and the way you think. If you decide what kind of life you want to live and you put your thoughts and actions toward living it, you can get to a place where you are happy with your life. If the life you want is one that includes boys, I am sure you can reach a point where you are comfortable enough to get there. If your desired life is one without boys, then you can reach a place where that life is enough for you and you find happiness in other ways.
