Over the years, I have consistently run into situations where I was wrong about what I thought a boy thinks of me. On more than one occasion, I have heard from a parent of a boy I thought didn't care for me that he won't stop talking about me. With my eyes opened I begin to see all the signs I had been missing. Maybe you aren't the same way I am, maybe you are really good at being able to tell what they think and you wouldn't miss those signs. But I have learned not to trust my own feelings on that issue.

Are you sure they think you are mean? and are you sure that feeling is reliable?

It may be that some actually do think you are mean, but in the long run they'll come around. If they don't, it's not a big deal, not every boy you come in contact has to like you. I don't like every boy I come in contact with either, some are real brats.
