Welcome. By definition, a pedophile is someone who is sexually attracted to minors. Most of us here fit that definition, but many of us choose not to act on those desires. Your confusion probably comes from how the media portrays us. They often use the terms molester and pedophile as if it means the same thing, which it does not. There are many pedophiles who never molest, but you don't hear about them. You only hear about the ones who molest and get caught. We cannot choose whether or not we're attracted to minors.
