I held off on saying anything while I thought of it further, but that was my initial thought as well and. after thinking through, I also stand by it. To have a boy trust you with something that big and then to betray him to his parents would be a terrible blow to the young man. Such a betrayal of trust would probably be emotionally crushing. That someone would consider betraying someone they love like that merely to lower their exposure to false accusations is troubling.
