Actually things have gotten worse. My YF's mother has decided that her abusive boyfriend is more important than a healthy adult male role model for her children, so she has asked me not to be a part of their lives. It is only a matter of time before things become physically harmful for the kids, but there is little I can do. Everybody she knows agree that her boyfriend is dangerous, but they aren't willing to do anything. I am the only person who has taken action and now I am exiled. No good deed goes unpunished. I have decided to pursue a career where I am not involved in any personal connection with anybody. The emotional toll of caring about people is too much, it's not for me.
