Hi Ford, The reason I put the title of this post in quotation is because it is actually part of the title of my most recent submission to Paraklesis. Ford, I think you may have "hit the nail on the head" with what you have just said. Indeed the message of salvation, the Gospel or "good news" is so simple, and yet so great, that so many folks just "miss it". And yet, here we are, the very "worst" of society, proclaiming God's good news, and living in His love!!! Sometimes I just feel like life is so hurtfull, maybe it's just not worth it to try. But, believe me, I am going to continue to try!!! Forgiven is our brother! All I know right now is that he is full of pain and strife....but God truly loves him! Brother Forgiven, I hope you are reading this. And I hope you can see that we are sincere. You are absolutely correct about how precious love is.....it is THE most precious "thing" of all. But our God, our Holy Father, IS love! And He has such a great life for us all. Certainly we will all have to suffer in this life, but our sufferings will be small in comparison with the great blessings He gives us! Please don't be offended by our love for you, or think it isn't real. Brother, it IS real...just as real as God's love. Because it actually comes from God. You see, God lives, and loves, through us! He really does! Thank you, Ford, for being such a terrific friend. I cannot express everything in my heart right now, but if it hasn't gotten too cliche'.....I Love You!!! Love, Chris |
