Rex:
I am glad to see that someone is more sure of Jesus boylove feelings than I. And I too want to respond to your question "Who loved Jesus as a boy?" I am sure he had an adult friend, a cute little Jewish boy like Jesus must have attracked many a man, but I would say not Joeph for incest was extremely shunned in ancient Judaism, so I must argue that it would have been the Baptist. John the Baptist is the one who formed Jesus and prepared him for his messaniac duty, and thus must in the finest of Greek influenced fashion observed all the ideals of the man-boy relationship. The Baptist must have known young Jesus from mere boyhood, for how else would he know have known all of Jesus. In the world of the ancients we knew boys were prepared by men for life that sometimes involved sexual expression as well, as so we know that Jesus, being connected to the loving draw of an older caretaker, would have entered into the extreme reality of what a relationship can be, that which is only found through the sexual element.
So the Baptist and the boy from Nazareth, what a couple.
God Speed
David
