Dear FeelingDirty, Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. This scripture tells me that even our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, was tempted with boylove. (In all points) In another scripture, He tells us that he would not allow us to be tempted above that we are able, but with the temptation, would make a way of escape. I must agree with Bach, and thought the same thing when I read your story… What kind of young man would this boy have made, were it not for your mentoring and guidance? He truly must love you, and I feel certain that he misses you. From what you said, I am sure that he would want you to be around to see what he does with his life. God has good reason to give us the orientation that we have, and although it is very difficult at times, we must bear the pain that goes with it. As for a "cure"… I don't think that we must think of our orientation as a "disease" that must be "cured". It is a blessing to be able to communicate with boys in the way that you obviously have. As for the "pain"… I often think of Paul, when he asked that the thorn be removed from his side. God did not see fit to remove it, but told him, "My grace is sufficient for you." This how we must think of BL feelings… as a blessing in disguise. You trusted God sufficiently to see you through all the years you were with this boy; and God apparently trusted you enough to give you charge over him. Why is it you can't trust Him now?
