troubles/encouragement

Forgiven, yes, my aoa extends into the "legal range"... but that only makes a slight bit of difference, since I'm told that God has laws against this sort of thing regardless of age.

However, funny you should bring this up. There's a boy (18) who lives next door whom I just met yesterday (he just moved in yesterday) who is especially nice in his looks and his personality. Now, I have all sorts of possible motivations to talk to him: sharing the gospel, developing a positive atmosphere here, or just being friendly. But, after some thought, I realized that my primary motivation in this case was that I thought he was cute and so I wanted to try to further the possibility that he'd like me at least as much as I hoped to like him. I would feel kind of guilty about that, but as I was praying about whether or not to talk to him, I dropped open my Bible and read Acts 2:14-21. The passage ends with this:

"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (NIV)

Did you hear that? Everyone! It doesn't even matter what my motivations are. Heck, I could even fuck the boy and God would still save me. God rocks, doesn't he? Unconditional love is so cool...

Perhaps I can do better than that. Perhaps someday God will give me the power and understanding to see that a relationship like this is not healthy and I'll avoid it, but until then, thanks to my Lord, I can follow my heart and not have to worry about my life.
