I'll admit to a strong degree of envy as I compare where you're at with the untidy bits that are hanging around in my life at the moment; though to be fair there's a lot of good things IRL for me now. I'm curious to ask some questions which you may wish to decline - but I'd find helpful to compare with my own experience. 1) You speak of a liberal but biblical church. A strange mixture - tell us more. 2) You seem to have a fair number of positive relationship with a number of boys. Is there one who you are especially drawn to? 3) My own experience is that a lot of relationships reduces the sexual element in any particular one - which I prefer!! Is that also what you find? As far as your comments about telling the pastors about where you're really at is concerned - I think you'd be on a loser; it is almost inevitable that it would result in their closing down your contacts with the boys - imagine it from their perspective should it go wrong; they knew there was a question mark and didn't restrain your contacts. Our recent experience in England with the Roman Catholic Archbishop being lambasted for his mistake over this is a reminder of this - they are almost always totally risk averse with rare, wonderful exceptions. Bach's positive experience is the only counter-example I know of. PS - thanks for the reminder about tithing - I've been letting that slip and need to get it together; I also testify to God's provision for me over the years in significant ways - my best example is that after I bought my present home I found myself overstretched financially and I just happened to get a temporary promotion unasked for, which made all the difference for that little while. |
