First of all, let me congratulate you on not having them turn this into a 'yellow' piece. It was surprisingly open-minded. Here's what I'm curious about. What is your opinion of this Peter LaBarbera's comment? You know, the one about 'Christian adulterers'? Isn't that a little off-base? Think about it this way- childloving is something that, at least as far as I can tell, is ingrained within us. Adultery, on the other hand, is a voluntary action, pure and simple. I've always personally believed that what tempts you is not important; it's how you deal with that temptation. Adultery is a choice. Sexual identity is not! And to call it a sin? To be naturally attracted to someone, acknowledge that attraction, but not act out on it? Ridiculous. |
