There is only one who I think we should try to control ourselves for...that is God. Jesus summed up what He wanted from us. To love the Lord our God with all our heart, and the second is to love our neighbor as ourselves. Your claim that a sexual relationship between a man and boy is beneficial may be the latest scientific study; however, I don't believe it is pleasing to God. Thus, I will not seek this out. Granted, I will probably be tempted my entire life, and one day, I may engage in this activity. Only God knows my future. At times, my mind plays tricks stating regrets for not opening that up with boys that I have come to love. I think many of us in this group probably wonder what could have occurred if.... However, I do believe God wants something more from us than to act on our sexual desires. In the era of AIDS, people who act on their sexual desires, who go hog wild, are running the risk of physical death. Is an orgasm worth death? Far greater is spiritual death, although God does forgive us for our failings. I know if I had sex with a boy, God would forgive me. Actually, He has forgiven me for my one discretion. In short, I believe we can have an intimate relationship with a boy that is nonsexual that connects us together in ways that far outweigh the excitement of an orgasm. I've been blessed by having had the opportunity to love and be loved by boys. I'm not sure what sex would do to the relationship, and more importantly, I'm not sure what sex would do with my relationship with God. How has sex made the relatioships better for you and the boy involved? And how has sex improved your relatioship with God? ~Once a Boy |
