Were are glad to have you Joey. This is the place I come to when reality gets too hard. Were all know right from wrong here, and we all wrestle with our demons. This is the place I come to remind myself that I am a child of the lamb. His grace "has brought me safe this far, and grace will bring me home." Jesus has given us a cross to bear. Not because he wants us to sin, not because he likes to see our anguish, but because he wants us to rise above our problems, to become stronger. I believe that we are "turned" in this way because our devotion to his way serves him, and that he will one day thank us for being faithful, dispite the weight on our hearts. Mayhaps we will serve as inspiration to someone who needs us. Perhaps the experence of longing will lead us to some lost soul who needs our help or mentorship. Perhaps someone will find God because of an act of mercy shown to us (being the "least of these" in societies' eyes.) His will is done, not ours, by acepting that, we come closer to him. If someone would come up to me and say "God will heal you of your affliction," I could only say "If he wishes me to be healed." I don't ask for that healing, not because I really like being lonely, sexually ungratified, and in constant moral turmoil, but because God wants me this way for whatever reason HE deams. All I can say is, "I trust and obey my lord." There is no other way. That is all any of us can ever do. If it becomes to tough for you Joey, remeber this (I cribbed this from the websites news letter ) There are billions of heterosexuals out there who have NEVER committed adultery, seduction or rape. I am always strengthed by the knowledge that being a boylover does not make me an automatic child molester. No more than being a heterosexual makes another man a rapist of women.
