Love does indeed have many meanings. I think we must be physically attracted to someone in order to have sex or make love. We judge the outside (the piece of meat) in determining whether or not we will get involved with another person. A 500 pound, 78 year old woman with no teeth may not be someone we would ever engage in sex (or love) with. Why? Because of the grade of meat...Whereas, whatever excites you...a cute boy or a certain look in a woman or a man (the grade of meat) makes one desire to have sex (or make love). I understand the importance of becomming emotionally and spiritually connected with another when we wish to have sex (or make love). However, we can be emotionally and spiritually connected to a 500 lb, 78 year old woman with no teeth, and never think of sex. Precisely because of the outward appearance, the "meat" is what excites us, draws us to the person. I guess when I think of love, I think of 1Corinthians Ch. 13, where love is patient; love is kind, ect. I suppose love is also a sacrafice. Sometimes we show our love for a boy by not getting physically involved with him believing instead that it is best not to "make love" for the sake of the boy. There can be many things that happen to a boy who gets involved with an adult. For example, he could grow up confused as to his sexuality or depress himself with the stigma that goes along with such a relationship. I am sure there could be some side affects. I don't know what my life would be like had an older man "made love" to me. If I knew sex with a boy was indeed love and pleasing to God, then I would not be struggling with the desire that does come from time to time. I do care and love many boys deeply. I have my entire life. Therefore, at times, I think "love making" is (or was) a possibility, yet I am just wondering if most "love making" is not love at all. For most, it's really just sex, desiring another as a piece of meat. True love would actually be making love to someone you would not desire - like the 500 pound, 78 year old lady with no teeth.
