Forgot to mention, have you come across the novel "About A Boy", by British author Nick Hornsby (they made a movie out of his football novel). It is *ahem* about a boy, whose parents divorced (well not really divorced since they weren't married), and gets himself involved in the life of a man who's interested in his mother. You could make a couple of minor literary criticisms with it, but on the whole it's a charming read. My favourite scene was the duck scene :) Fod |
