Maybe, if you can't communicate with lay people without using oppessive labels, you might do us all a favor and stop communicating about our lives to lay people. I'm no journalist, I break the law regularly, and I have experienced NOT ONE occasion where I had to use "sex offender" "child abuser" or "pedophile" to refer to myself. You need those words not to describe us, but to assure your lay readers that you are thinking the right way about us. What "Chicken Hawk" is to great films, Heather's essays are to great journalism. |
