The difference between helping boys and hurting them is very great.

As boylovers, we are caught right smack dab in the middle of this tension. We feel a strong desire to help boys, but we also sometimes feel tempted to use them for selfish reasons.

I think that God does NOT view temptation itself as any kind of sin. God will not punish us for merely being tempted. That is why I know that boylove is not evil, only child molestation is evil.

Now, child molestation is one of the worst sins. So boylovers have to be very disciplined, and it can take a lot of practice, but I know that God would never hate anyone who helps boys and loves them, even if that same person is not perfect, and might sometimes experience lustful temptations.

Please, boy LOVE is a good thing. God is LOVE. To LOVE boys is not a sin. They need to be loved. Boylovers are not "different" from the rest of humanity in just loving boys; we are only different in that we face a type of temptation that other people don't. But God will never let temptation overwhelm you, as long as you are willing to let HIM help you with it. It is a human thing to sin; God never forces anyone to sin, or tempts anyone. You can be sure the temptations are not from God, even if the LOVE is. I think God created the LOVE part of boylove, but Satan tries to twist it into child molestation; and boylovers are the poor souls who are caught in the midst of this battle. Trust God, and he will deliver you into righteousness. He will help you to do the right thing in relating to boys.

To anyone who believes in Satan like I do, I would offer this as a daily spiritual practice:

1) Pray the words of Ephesians 6:10-18 (the armor of God) out loud (or to yourself) every day. Pray the words and know that God is listening. It will help.

2) Make it a habit to CONSCIOUSLY rebuke Satan every time you feel tempted to sin (any sin, for that matter). Here are the words that I use: "Lord, have mercy. By the power of the strong name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke Satan and all demonic forces. God, please send the Holy Spirit to drive Satan away from me, and to fill my heart with your love." That prayer has helped me in a lot of difficult situations.

3) Know that it is up to God to fight evil together with you, not you by yourself. You cannot fight Satan without God's help. God does NOT expect that you will never be tempted. God does not hate you when you feel tempted, and when you sin unintentionally, God does not hold a grudge. Accept God's forgiveness. He gave it to you already. God knows what we need, before we ask.
