No. Lives do not have to be lead like this.

I have a feeling we are heading for the old old story: "All was emptiness within until Jesus came into my heart."

Let me assure you that many many millions of non-christians lead lives that are not filled with loneliness and despair. And that no God wants you to substitute devotion to them for healthy social, emotional, and erotic interaction with others in your species (or even occasionally outside your species).
