I'm sorry, I couldn't help it! Honest!!! Ever since ancient times the human race has been involved in the "entertainment industry." I guess one could say it was just to pass the time, but I prefer to think, like I said earlier, that it's escapism. The fact that it goes back centuries mkes it clear that modern society isn't making us sick of our lives, it's some sort of condition. A common trait. What is it in us that makes us want to be someone else, somewhere else? Why is it that when our minds evolved to be so intelligent, all of a sudden we want out? Perhaps we've grown too smart for our own existance. Perhaps we see that our time here is so short that even though the collective may be enhanced through our life, the take of an individual isn't worth it. Maybe it's a desire for reincarnation, maybe our minds aren't satisfied with just one existance. Surely one can find enlightenment through different life experiances in the same conciousness, but it's utterly impossible, so we turn to movies and all that. Oh well, I'm starting to get a headache. I've also just written a long ranting email as well, and it's 1:30am. Yeah, I'm definately crazy, posting at 1:30 am. Sooooo long. I'd better go before my head hits the keyboard.
