Hey Ben,,,,, I'm new here,,,,,,,so,,,,I'm sort of jumping in,,,without much background on this site or it's parameters. But one thing I do like to do,,,,is share my experiences in the Walk with God. Each of us are on that walk,,,,,,each at a different place,,,,,,,so it's always important to realize,,,that were one may be walking ahead of you,,,or behind you,,,,so that we never get judgemental. It's the Work of the Holy Spirit to transform and Conform us to the image of Christ,,,,,,,,so nothing I ever say,,,,will be judgemental. First,,,You have a gift from God,,,,,to relate with kids. Many of us have that gift,,,,,but at times in our lives we may consider it a curse, because we are different. You are working with boys,,,,,,,think of this,,,,,if you weren't there,,,,,Who would be doing what you are doing for them. Probably the answer is,,,,,No one! God made us special,,,,,,now it has taken me a whole lifetime to understand that,,,,,,,but it's the truth. We are the people that God made us.........and because He made us this way,,,,,,,We have the responsibility to use that gift,,,or talent to glorify Him. Continue to help boys, it's your way to serve God. Second,,,,,Lusting. Yes,,,Lusting is a sin. It is compounded if we ever act upon it. Now,,,admiring the beauty of boys is not a sin. Just like admiring the beauty of women is not a sin. There is a difference in lusting and admiring. Only you know which you have. But because you are drawn to the beauty of boys,,,,doesn't mean you are lusting after them. From the way I read your post,,,,I don't see lust. But again,,,,,,that is your call. Third,,,,Masturbating. Masturbating has been made into the all time evil for boys,,,,,since the church was first founded. I,,, like most boys,,,,,,lived a life of guilt and fear,,,,,,because of my masturbating. One day,,,,God gave me understanding and freedom from that aged old guilt. Think of it this way,,,,,,,,,,Sex is the strongest drive in the human body,,,,,bar none. It forces itself to be exercised one way or another. When a boy reaches puberty,,,,,his sex drive explodes and he begins having wet dreams,,,,,and soon masturbates on a regular basis. Is masturbating any different from having a wet dream? God showed me,,,that it is not. With that understanding,,,,,I now have peace. If we don't get sexual release,,,,we become tense,,,,hyperactive,,,,,frustrated,,,,,,loose the ability to concentrate,,,,,become sexually aggresive,,,,,,and lustful. Once we masturbate,,,,all those symptoms go away,,,,and we become normal people again. I personally believe, that masturbating routinely is best,,,,both for our physical well being (Prostate) and our emotional well being(Keeping from going crazy). I also believe that routine masturbation will curbed that lusting that you say that you have, because your sex drive will be appeased. Now,,,God gave me these insights,,,,,,not the church. Organized religion still preaches that we should not masturbate. I no longer have guilt over my masturbating,,,,because I have come to an agreement with God,,,,,,,so what the church teaches is irrelevant to me,,,on this matter. Now of course I could just be fooling myself! God may indeed not like my masturbating, as the church preaches. If so,,,then when I see my God,,,,,,he will tell me........or better yet,,,He will make those changes in my life,,,,in His time. But in the meantime,,,,,I do not lust after boys,,,,,I am at peace with my conscience,,,,,and with my God. As for the Sex Addiction Group,,,,,,,I can't help you at all there,,,,,I have no experience with them. I have left my addictions in the hands of my God,,,and thus far,,,He has been sufficient for all my needs. So Ben,,,,,May God Bless You. I hope you serve Him by working with boys,,,,,,the boys of this world need every worker that is willing to help them. Know this,,,you aren't alone in your feelings,,,or your temptations. Many of us,,,,,have them,,,and have learned,,,,,by God's Grace to deal with them. Everything I have said here is totally my opinion,,,,,it's the way God has worked with me in my own life,,,,,,if it helps you then great,,,,,if not,,,,,it is my wish that God show you His way for your life.
