I must respectfully say that I don't believe that all sexual feelings for boys are sin. I believe our sexuality is a part of the way God created us. I do not believe that it comes from Satan. It would be good to discuss the question of when sexual feelings become sinful. I believe it is when they cause us to think of boys as objects for our sexual gratification, rather than as human beings with feelings, intellect, etc. who are worthy of dignity and respect. Also if our sexual feelings become of paramount importance, above our desire to love and serve God and others, then they become a form of idolatry. And certainly if our feelings cause us to harm a boy, then they are sinful. But I do not believe that sexuality, even ours, is necessarily bad. Yes, sexual feelings are not the same as love, but they can be part of love. There is certainly a close connection between my feelings of love and my sexual feelings. Mark |
