Can you be a little more vague?

Watcher, when you start to make sense, would you signal so we could pay attention? I asked some questions in my last post that I was hoping would give us a basis or common ground for some meaningful dialogue. But all you come back with is more of your incomprehensible patter. C'mon, Watcher, give me something of substance! You railed at Splash for not answering your questions (even though he answered them quite well), but now you don't offer any answers yourself. You don't even make any attempt to address my queries. What's the deal?

As far as the Gay Lib movement's complaints of being deprived of rights, give me a break. Much has been said to equate the Gay Lib movement with the Civil Rights movement of the 60's. How ludicrous! Black people had no choice about their color. By your own statement, you acknowledge that being gay is a choice. "If you don't want to be gay, fine. Don't be. More power to you." Homosexuals don't deserve a special status any more than baseball players or construction workers do. No one *has* to be a baseball player or a construction worker. That is a choice. And by your own admission, so is being gay.

One thing you need to keep in mind is that our government doesn't grant rights. They don't have that capability. Our government is an artificial entity created by man. All they can do is guarantee the God given rights we already enjoy. Those rights existed before there was a Constitution or our government. The only thing our government can grant is license or privelege. And priveleges can be taken away at the government's whim. They can't do that with rights. Rights are given to us by God. And God never sanctioned the "rights" for which the gay movement is lobbying.

You amaze me with your ignorance. I won't say "stupidity", because you probably are reasonably bright. But your ignorance is showing with your lack of information in the origin of the Bible.

"Thousands of year old texts by ignorant, superstitious tribesmen - that's the basis of Chrisitan morality - sexual and otherwise. You can buy into it if you're that stupid, but leave me out of it."

Maybe you ought to read my three posts in response to Splash's post "Bible: Authoritative from God or Religion?" You might read them in this order:
1) Re: Bible: Authoritative From God or Religion 8/22
2) The Bible as a Scientific Book 8/23
3) Ivan Panin 8/23

Read these and let's see if you can't come up with something more logical than brash statements that have no substance to back them.
