I'm talking about civil rights

They are granted and taken away by law making organizations. The U.S. Congress penned the 14th Amendment, not any god, and it was ratified after a process described in the Consitution. The U.S. Congress, and the people of the United States, could just as easily decide to strike down the 14th Amendment.

Easy come easy go, no gods anywhere in the picture.

I don't know what a "just" government is. I know that some governments grant their citizens more rights than others. I know that sometimes when governments don't grant many rights, their people have been known to overthrow them.

Again, I haven't ever noticed any gods in the mobs surrounding government institutions that were in the process of being burned or otherwise being destroyed by oppressed people who decided not to take it anymore.

So it's rather illogical and presumptuous of you to try to tell me that rights I enjoy come from your god. They most certainly do not.
