I'm not claiming to have lead a perfect life. That's not even come into the discussion. I'm talking about civil rights for gay people. Along those lines you claim that I deserve civil rights because your religion will FORGIVE me for being gay. NO WAY. I don't want your forgiveness for that issue and in fact if it were offered I'd spit it back in your face. Are you beginning to get the point? What I'd like to know is why your religion can't simply practive its beliefs in peace and leave me and other queers alone. Alone, that is, with no references to sin or forgiveness. If we don't believe in your religion then it's impossible for us to sin and it's impossible for us to need your forgiveness. So, why can't Christians just leave us alone? Why try to force us to abide by Christian values and beliefs? |
