An alternative response

I hesititate in offering this - and am aware that it doesn't fit well in some ways. And yet... I believe God would say to us: "When you see these things begin to take place, look upand raise your heads, for your salvation draws near" (Lk21 v28) Do you desire that my kingdom comes? Do you desire "Come Lord Jesus"? Then rejoice in that this is a sign that the end is nearer. "Do not fear little flock, because it is the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" (Lk 12 v 32) "Once again I will shake the heavens and the earth" Heb 12 v 26 I have given good times - such prosperity as the world has never seen - and the peoples turned from me; their comfort has beguiled them, my church has not challenged them and their hearts have turned away. Now a shock hs come - a trumpet has sounded to wake the comfortable. Will my church preach my whole truth - call people to true repentance - or shill be that they will speak 'Peace, Peace; when there is no peace'? 'God is Love' they say - but I am also a God of anger who does act in judgement, both now and on the last day. Will you be one of those who preaches all my word, that the world may have no excuse, or will you speak only of a comfortable God woh shows only love and grace however much he is provoked?" cf Lk 13 v 1-6, Ps 62 v11,12 |
