Why pray that a boy "have soft, smooth, silky skin with fingernails cut by his mother, perfect in form... that his buttocks may be firm... driving our Godlike passions through an eagerness all his own"? This poem sounds VERY sexual, full of lust of the eyes and perhaps intercourse among flesh (depending upon what "Godlike passions" the boy is supposed to be "driving" with "eagerness"). If I've got it all wrong, I'm sorry. But this prayer sounds like you're asking that God grant you something to molest. To me, a "Prayer for my YF" would be a prayer for some boy I already know, that he be protected and guided by the Lord, becoming a man of God, a man of character, who has neither been harmed nor will ever cause harm. Who cares if a boy has a nice ass!! What's that have to do with his spirituality, his Christianity, his salvation?! And what does it have to do with yours? Why would God grant you something that has no eternal value -- something you only want to have while it is young with firm buttocks and smooth, silky skin. I don't understand your prayer because I don't think I want to understand it. I gave you the benefit of the doubt by thinking it was written to be sarcastic against what you "think" Christian boylovers are all about. If that's the case, then you're wrong about who we are. But, if you call yourself a Christian boylover and really believe you can ask God such a favor, then I suggest you examine your Christianity a bit more. It seems very unbiblical and unethical. Your prayer does sound very similar to older Christian poetry (e.g. "Lord, make me thine spinning wheel complete" or something like that). So, I'm assuming that you do have a Christian background to be able to write what you did the way you wrote it. I just don't know where you're coming from as a Christian. To me, it looked like an attack on those who call themselves "Christian boylovers" because that is not a prayer most of us would say (as far as I can tell from being in this forum for more than a year now). I don't appreciate it in the prayer room. Splash |
