Dear Ben, My early BoyChat days seem like a lifetime ago and while your nick sounds familiar (?), I don’t remember us corresponding at any length. No matter, as we are in the here and now, and your warm welcome here I will never forget – thank you. I struggle with what to make of the ‘Christians’ who hurt me – what they did seems so calculatedly hurtful. And yet, are there not people who must say the same of me for having hurt a young boy? Even though what I did was not in the name of Christ, calculated or intended to be hurtful in any way, I was known to be a Christian by the boy and his family. In the end, intentions are meaningless and the results the same. I will continue to post here and look forward to talking more with you as well. Take care and God bless, J |
