Hi Chris, I hope that it's okay if I post a reply to your note to "J". I am intrigued by a couple of your points here. In particular, your recognition that our society has elevated sex to a perceived need which isn't necessarily accurate. Indeed, we are bombarded with sexual images from a very young age. In the case of a boy lover, we may be bombarded in other ways. For me, going away to summer camp and being constantly in the presence of beautiful boys, often loosely dressed and regularly without clothes (ie - in the cabin at night, in the shower, etc) litterally surrounded me with what were stimulating images. It is pretty natural, that eventually I gave into my sexual desires in the form of masturbation. I do believe that sex is not a required part of life, but I believe in my case that sexual release (masturbation) has become an addiction which I feel enslaved by. If I feel this way, then certainly other boylovers may also be enslaved by sexual release that is far less tolerated. This is a predicament which does not have an easy solution. I think it is important for all of us to share that there IS life apart from sexuality. Only from hearing of others who have overcome certain sexual activities, can we have hope for ourselves. So, thanks for sharing this, and thank God that you are NOT mastered by certain things. You are not alone. Love, Ben |
