...I didn't like! Hi J, I used to love Heavy Metal back when Black Sabbath (with Ozzie and then with Ronnie James Dio) was popular. I also liked bands like Judas Priest and, of course, Led Zeplin. Nowadays I'm really not into the heavy scene too much, although I still like to crank out some hard rockin' Christian music on my CD player. I am going to write down the bands you mentioned because I work with a teen-age kid and I have been witnessing to him for the Lord. He just loves Metal bands and I have been trying to find out more about them. Music can really be a great tool for being a witness for Christ! By the way, do you know anything about a band called "Sevendust"? He swears that this is a new Christian Metal band and by it's name and some of the lyrics I have read included in thier CD, I think they might be but if they are, it is difficult to tell from the lyrics. A couple of Christian rock bands that I just love are Big Tent Revival and Third Day. I just got the worship album by Third Day and it brings tears to my eyes, especially the song "Thief" which is written as if by the one thief who was crucified by Jesus' side, the one who Jesus said would be with Him in Paridise. Oh, take your time in replying, I am in no hurry at all! I am glad to see you comming back here and I believe you are really beginning to "sound" better. At least by your writting you seem that way. I am praying for this big time, J. Keep listening to Christian music, too. This has helped me more times than I can easily remember, and it still does! It dosen't matter what form the music takes as long as it lifts you up and lifts up the Name of the Lord. If it does that, then it is trully "Soul Music", right? God Bless!
