A Christmas Story For Everyone

Hi Everyone, My name is T.J. and I am a 15 year old Boylover. I have been learning about all this Christian stuff lately so I thought I should do a post in here. I have a Y.F., Nicky...he's 11 and sooooo cute! I've got a secret for everyone here and I also wanted to wish everyone a happy Christmas and all that. And I've got a question to ask, too. I'll ask the question first, ok? I want to give my friend Nicky something really cool for Christmas but I can't make up my mind. He loves the NBA and his favorite basketball player of all-time is Michael Jordan. He's so excited that Jordan is playing again and we always watch the Wizard's games on T.V. There is a set of basketball cards I know he would love because they feature Michael Jordan from his beginning in college, his career with the Chicago Bulls, and his new career with the Washington Wizards. But see, I have also been telling Nicky about God too and yesterday he supprised me because he asked Jesus to be his Savior! Oh, I gotta tell you guys about that! He is so beautiful and I love him so much. He's got blond hair and it's kind of long in the back but he won't let his mom cut it off. That's cool with me because I think it looks great like that. But he's got huge blue eyes and a kind of pouty mouth and when he smiles he looks like an angel. Anyway,yesterday he comes over to my house and he starts to ask me a lot of questions about Jesus. He wanted to know why Jesus was born and why was he so poor if he was really God's Son and all. And he really wanted to know why he had to die like he did if he never did anything bad to anyone but was always going around doing miracles to help people and teach them about God's love--you know. And I could tell he was really serious because he always puts his arms around my shoulders and looks me right in the eye when he is talking. I answered everything I could, hey you guys would be proud! You should be because most of what I know about Jesus I learned right here at CBF! I come in here late at night when my dad's asleep and I read all the posts. Sometimes I get confused a little when you guys have differant ideas about stuff but I can tell that you all love God and He really means a lot to you. That's a big reason why God means a lot to me too. I don't hardly ever go to church because my dad dosen't go much but that's ok because I found this place. So anyway, I was telling Nicky about how Jesus died for him and then he started to cry. So I hugged him and I heard him whisper to me,"I love you T.J. and I love Jesus too. My step-dad hit me really hard a bunch of times today because he got drunk again and I ran over here after he passed out on the couch. All I kept thinking about was to talk to you. Do you think Jesus can be my friend too?" It's getting hard to write because I am starting to cry now, but I held Nicky a long time after that and I helped him to pray and ask Jesus to be his Savior. He's going to stay over here at my house for a few days until we can find out if his mom has kicked his step-dad out of the house. I can't stand it when this happens to him but at least he knows he can stay over here as long as he wants....my dad dosen't mind. But now I need to know if I should get Nicky those basketball cards or this really cool kid's Bible I saw at the book store. I know he is interested in God a lot now and I think that would help him a lot. I love him so much and I would buy him both things but I only have enough money for one or the other. Anyway, that's my question. And now here is the secret I promised to tell you all. I hope Chris dosen't get mad about this but I am really a character that he thinks he just made up for a novel he is writting. It's taking him a long time to write it but he is hoping it will be a first-of-it's-kind work to help tell the world about Boylovers and how God loves them and cares about them just as much as He does everyone else. But see, Chris thinks me and Nicky are just characters he made up for his story....HA! Won't he be supprised to see this post? I don't think he will get mad, though. He's a pretty nice guy once you get to know him....get's a little grumpy in the morning before his first cup of coffee, though. Oh well...Merry Christmas everyone and Nicky says Merry Christmas too!
