| The argument of the APA is that the mentally ill in the community are, as far as they are able to tell, the ones who aren't a significant danger. However the reality is that all peds are to some extent a threat - though to varying extents. There are many in the profession who are open to recognise that in practice there are many of us who are not - which is why some are released into society despite past offences when they could be held for longer. On the other hand there are some who badly abuse their position of trust to carry out vendettas. So - lets try not to generalise - about anyone. To your question could you imagine them ever saying the following? the answer is yes I could. |
