A self declared agnostic may not want to toss that around too much. Now, when I was saying that homosexuals would want to be legitimised, perhaps you're right in saying they don't NEED to. But a lot of them want to. Propaganda is a way of stopping "people like me" from spouting out crap. It's worked for fascism, communism, the anti tobacco lobby, aand countless others. The anti tobacco lobby don't NEED to be legitimised. What they needed was people to stop making / buying cigarettes. What they did was tell the people of the world that cigarettes are bad, through movies (instead of showing Humphrey Bogart forever holding a cig in his lips, one is more likely to see people coughing while smoking,) ads in TV and magazines and such. |
