Dear Splash! Sorry for giving you the shivers, though I can't deny that I wrote the poem to evoke anything but a warm, fuzzy feeling in the reader. I wasn't sure if the rhythm was noticeable outside myself, since it does not follow the line breaks, or the triple rhyme at the end (design/I/die), but I guess it was. I would love to read your poems, perhaps you could share them with me over e-mail if you are comfortable doing that. "Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. "Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless!" Ecclesiastes 1:2 (cf. Ecclesiastes 12:8) The futility of a life without God, the limits of human wisdom. I find Ecclesiastes one of the most intriguing books of the Bible. Perhaps we can explore it together from a BL perspective sometime soon, as I find myself very overwhelmed with umultuous emotions at the present time. Thanks again for all your love and support. God bless you, Splash! Love in the Lord, J |
