Yes in the sense that the Christian hope is that one day Jesus will come again - unambiguously and overwhelmingly - take over the government of the planet and show us how it is done.

No in the sense that Jesus says explicitly that his kingdom is not of this world, so it is unlikely to be a successful strategy. This is mainly because the Christian concept has something to do with the law written on our hearts, whereas the Theocratic concept takes that externally.

The problem is that there is an inevitable tendency for Christians to want to take over the government because we think we know best - and we end up with disasters like prohibition. On the other hand we have as much right to express our views as anyone else - so if we are in a majority, it may end up looking like a theocracy.

I think the wise thing is probably to argue from a rational shared view point; for example the 'Keep Sunday Special' campaign in Britain focused on the issues other than the 'God says'.

Does that make any sense?
