While I will admit that we Americans have been spoiled in relation to many other countries, I can't go along with the notion that life is supposed to be hard and full of suffering. Of course there will be hard times and suffering. But I don't believe that is God's desire for our entire lives. I don't believe our only happiness should come from the anticipation of getting to heaven to escape our woeful existence here on Earth. I enjoy life and think others should also. Remember that God placed the first humans in the Garden of Eden to enjoy the bounty He had created for them. Dakota |
