There were some interesting concepts talked about. Personally after deciding to live a straight life and living as a married man for 20 years, it seemed that I was healed of same-sex attractions. Then we separated and subsequently divorced. The desires to bond with teen boys was still there, so I went through 5 years of counselling and group-therapy and now I am very discouraged because as a Christian I know the scriptures which state that engaging in sexual activities with the same sex is sinful, but I still have powerful desires. I am sure that I would not have been like this if I had not been sexually molested for 10 years starting in my early teens. Please have compassion on those who suffer with lusts which are part of our nature inherited from Adam. God promises us forgiveness and a new nature........but the struggle is hard. |
