Hey Brother

I must admit I am still intrigued by your article, bro! You wrote, "How did Christ make His 'standrds' known? It seems to me that Jesus' and Paul's styles were quite different in this sense. It is a contrast that I am seeking to resolve in my own journey." Do you know that whenever anyone mentions Paul, I tend to perk right up? Paul became my favorite Apostle while I spent my time in jail, probably because, in my own small way, I could better relate to him by that experience.

Anyway, I have a question for you. Call me dense, call me slow...(but please don't call me late for dinner...), but I have to ask you this one. Is the resolution you seek one between the differences of style in Jesus and Paul, or in Jesus and yourself? I hope that isn't a dum question but I felt the need to ask anyway.

At any rate, your statement has set my own mind to work, because it is a very good one and certainly relevant for any Child of God. And so, after some thought, I believe I may have something of a satisfactory "answer", at least for my own self. I hope it will give you something as well.

It seems to me that "style" is most definately not as important as most of us think it is. In fact, not only did Paul's style differ from that of Jesus Christ, but all of the Apostles differed from Him in this way. I believe, therefor, that the man who once said (whoever that person was...I forget.),"It is our differences which define us". He was right in saying that, but where I think we tend to dissagree with that is when we try to apply it to our Christian faith. But I believe with all my heart that when we become a child of God, He does not wish us to lose those qualities of our personality which make us different form everyone else, but instead has a way of using them for His own good purposes and plan. In fact, I believe that those qualities that define us as His creation, as honest-to-God human beings, were given to us by him out of great love in purpose and design. We are not, after all, accidents or after-thoughts.

We are that which we are, and our new life with our Father will create in us everything that He has, in His limitless wisdom, in mind for us. Because He loves us. Because God trully does love Man.

Anyway, I will be thinking on this one for a while, brother. Thank you for the cool project. I am working on a few right now (including a new story), but when it comes to my Father, I always dig one more!

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
