X-Men

Hi Everyone, You are probably wondering about why I wrote "X-Men" in the subject block for my post. Are there any comic book fans and movie fans here? Well, it is about the movie, but mostly it is about us. Yesterday, as part of my, so-called sex-offender treatment program (oh...it's not MY program, mind you...it belongs to Big Brother!) I had to submit to a polygraph test designed to dig out of my past my sexual history. Well, it went just as I suspected it would. I now trust Big Brother even less (if that is possable....but believe me, it IS!) than I did before. This man takes me into a room in a court house and sits me down and does a fairly good job of convincing me he is my friend. Soon, even without plugging me into the machine, he has me spilling my guts, telling him things I have never wished to tell anyone as they are not pertininent to my life as I live it now. I became an X-Man from that moment on! It was then that my heart decided to give me trouble, so I told him I am on Nitroglicerine tablets and I had to take one. He got pissed! I guess I had undermined his little project by having heart problems. He stopped the thing right there and drove me back to the "class" where he and those in charge of it had a long discussion about me. They then told me to wait for an hour for the class to be over so I could catch a ride home. Did they ask if I was ok? Were they concerned that, for all they knew, I could very well be dead when they walked out of the "class room"? Need I answer my own questions? I am an X-Man, and that means the answer is no. We are not of this world, we are of God...it's true! We are not X-men, but that movie contains more truth in it about our situation here in this world than does anything this world can offer. The Word of God, however, IS the best source! I might need your prayers, brothers! This could be very hard. Love in Christ Jesus, Chris |
