Ex-Gay movement

What do you guys think of the Ex-gay movement? Do you believe tha a person can be "set free" from homosexuality or paedophilia for that matter? Does God offer us freedom and healing from sinful desires, thoughts and fantasies? I recently spoke to someone from Liberty Christian Ministries which is an Ex-Gay ministery in my local area and this person told me that freedom from homosexuality is possible. That God can set me free from the sin of homosexuality and that he can deliver me from the evils of paedophila. Do you think that is possible?
