I don't think there is anything wrong with being "too affectionate" with boys. If they were happy with it, there shouldn't be a problem. The real problem is that society hasn't got enough people who care about kids to show them what real love it & that they are cared for. I'm sorry to hear about your experiences & see that you suffered from the small mindedness of certain people who saw your love as a dangerous thing, rather than a loving gift from you to the boys you were with.
