Hey, who said you were being stupid? This is a question that has bugged almost all of us. I cannot see how you can masturbate without fantacising, so I guess it is not an activity that should be encouraged. But I suppose it is better than going out and doing sex with someone. I have found that it does foster my desires so I try not to do it these days (although I cannot say I never do - it is a habit hard to break!)
