Is Masturbation a sin?

I've always wondered that. Some people say it is, then others say it isn't and that the Bible doesn't say anything about it, so it can't be wrong. What do you guys think? Sometimes I masturbate and then I feel guilty about it (other times I don't)and just ask God to forgive me if I've done anything wrong. But how can we know if God thinks it wrong or sinful? I suppose if we look at porn when we masturbate its wrong or if we lust and fantasise about someone then maybe its wrong,because the Bible says that if you lust after someone, you have committed adultery with that person in your heart (something like that). But how can you masturbate and not lust after someone? I mean, I can't just jerk off and not think about anything or not look at some really hot guy, it just doens't work. Sorry, maybe I shouldn't be asking all of this, masturbating is personal and maybe I shouldn't even be talking about it. I hope I haven't offended anyone.
