| You stated the verse in the Bible about lusting after someone and it being adultery. First I don't feel it is adultery if the person you are lusting after is not married and you are not married. Adultery is in simple terms cheating on your loved one. As for masturbation it is also a stress releiver and health issue. Your body is a temple of God and you are responsible for taking care of it, both spiritually and physically. I'm not a doctor so I don't know the medical term for it, but not masturbating can cause a medical condition called "blue ball". I have never had it I masturbate to often, but friends that have had it tell me that it is very painful. Of course we always have the promise of God that if we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh. And Paul, who wrote quite a bit of the New Testament, struggled between satisfying the flesh and pleasing God. We have to remember that the Blood that Jesus shed on the cross will cover EVERY sin if we ask for forgiveness. Love In Christ, drew |
