In reply to my God why have you made us this way??? submitted by Seamus on 2002-07-11 23:23:53, Thursday

...has chosen to be your place in this world? Good fruit cannot come from evil tree, nor evil from good - and yet you have said it yourself, God has chosen this to be yours from the beginning. Why, then, do you believe the world when they slander that which God has made? More frightful still is that this may lead to your believing them so fully as to become by your faith - not in God, but in man - their slander.

"why are we pedophiles?"

'See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually behold the face of My Father'

-Matt 18:10. I honestly believe that this is why. How often have you heard how many speak to those who are greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matt 10:1-5) as though they were infinitely below them? How can we, by virtue of our place, afford *not* to recognize that all are equal before God - and even are we tempted to agree with Jesus, that they stand above the rest of us.

Proclaim you that there is no worse temptation than to be tempted to agreee with Jesus? :)

"i wish and desire with my flesh for that intimacy to become a physical one...but my heart and soul cry out to God for just the opposite..."

Really? Can you seperate the wishes of God from the not-so-good news of the world?

Go and learn what this means : I desire compassion, and not sacrifice. (Matt 9:13, if you're interested)... therein is the heart of the gospel.

Or, perhaps if you prefer :

"I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself" -Rom 14:14

...or, even more drastically :

"Owe *nothing* to anyone except to love one another, for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." -Rom 13:8

It is in spite of this that heavy burdens were lain, that their false prophets of these ages would not so much touch with one of their fingers... and the world, for its part, was decieved, and believed that these burdens, and not love, was the commandment of God. Some do believe it so fully that they believe that hate is the commandment of God. (::sigh:: since overciting is ever so popular - Luke 11:46, and 1 John 4:20, give a NT view on this).

I counsel not any particular action - I say not that anything, save love, is specifically right. I do say, however, that you have looked much to the world when querying into that part of God's plan which the world, and not God, has made a burden and a sin.

Act not with faith in the world, but in God. In the commandment 'I desire compassion, and not a sacrifice' is the answer to your questions.
