that the Scriptures use two different terms for illicit sex: moicheia, which is extramarital sex, and porneia, which is "illicit sexual intercourse", sometimes including adultery, and sometimes, as in Matthew 15:19 "For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries (moicheia), fornications (porneiai)..." and Mark 7:21, which is basically the same verse, though the enumeration of the sins are in a different order, but also include "aselgeia" shameless conduct, including sexcual conduct as it is thus used in Galatians 5:19 |
