Maybe start setting boundaries for yourself so that you feel safer and more secure with all these seemingly confusing and mind/heart-consuming feelings. What would you like to accomplish with boys? What would you NOT want to happen? What steps will you take to make sure your interactions with boys are positive for you both? What steps will you take to make sure no harm is done? What types of pictures or websites do you think you should see and not see? Etc. Personally, I'd include God in these conversations with yourself. Just talk to him and see what He says. The main thing is to get yourself focused on directing your desires and feelings into a positive outlet -- mentoring, teaching, listening, or just "being there" for a boy by making him feel appreciated and/or loved. I think once you have set some boundaries or limits for yourself, then you'll feel more comfortable about these things. Please keep us updated. Splash |
