as far as I can see there are two strategies for coping with being a BL. The hardest one is to run away from all contact with boys whatsoever. I'm aware of a few of us who seem to have followed that strategy with a measure of success - and I suspect it may be appropriate for some of us. However the alternative is to construct safe unsexualised relationships with a number of different boys (try to avoid having only a single one, though you may end up with a 'favourite') and work to live for the sake of those boys in your life. Over the past 7 years I've had a group of 4 boys who've grown from age 14 when I first knew them to 21 now. They came into my life as a result of a particular set of circumstances, and I believe that was God's provision for me; it just 'happened'. So the heart of my advice is to encourage you to find out what God wants for you - which may or may not be the same as for any other BL; know that that way is God's way for you - and will be the best for you, though it may well be hard at times. But 'you are not your own, you were bought for a price'. And one day God will 'wipe away every tear', and 'the sufferings of this present age will be as nothing compared with the glory that is revealed'. Here's hoping that one day soon you will realise that the nick that you've chosen for yourself is only a small part of the truth about you; Splash went through a similar process of self acceptance as a result of this board - where we are all equally 'pervs'; but in God's eyes - if we confess our sins - we are all equally his children. |
